Slow down, surrender, restore…These are my hopes for those joining me in Nosara, Costa Rica.
In the depths of winter, we are called to introspection, to feel the barrenness of our nature, to tap into our inner light and warmth, and to truly rest and nourish ourselves. I invite you to join me for a week of exploration of self and soul at Casas Kismet, to set intentions for the year ahead and to nourish your body, mind, and spirit. We will slowly and intentionally navigate the nuances of the human experience through breath, movement, and stillness. While some yoga and meditation experience is encouraged, all are welcome.

My personal health journey and a desire to practice a prevention and wellness-focused approach to healthcare led me to the Pacific Northwest to pursue a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and a master's in acupuncture at the National University of Natural Medicine. While in school, my clinical rotations focused on adjunctive care for cancer and chronic disease, psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology, and a Japanese approach to acupuncture. I further studied Asian bodywork, craniosacral therapy, and myofascial therapy to integrate bodywork and healing touch into my treatment style. I returned home to East Tennessee in 2018 to help create the holistic health program at Blackberry Mountain.
I earned my RYT through Yoga Medicine am passionate about bringing holistic wellness to my community. My goal as a yoga teacher is to help an individual gain greater mobility, stability, and strength and to adapt one’s practice to his or her body and personal needs. I strive to bridge different ways of knowing to promote wellness and support the individual path to health and healing. My mission is to help redefine the paradigm of healthcare. Yoga is a tool that allows for nourishment of the body, mind, and spirit, and my goal is to help each person move and breathe with a little more ease while finding some calm, peace, and balance amidst the chaos of the world.
